Goal-line technology system GoalControl-4D to be launched in Hungary
GoalControl GmbH in Würselen has signed a contract for the supply and installation of its goal-line technology system “GoalControl-4D” with the Hungarian building services supplier “Vilati”, a subsidiary of the construction company “market”, the general contractor for construction of the new FTC Stadium in Budapest.
The state-of-the-art arena, which opened in March 2013, lies on the grounds of the old Albert Flórián Stadium in the Hungarian capital and is traditionally the home of Ferencváros Budapest. It will be equipped with the latest technology in all respects – including a goal-line technology system. The new stadium, which has four covered stands with 22,600 seats and 29 VIP boxes, will be completed in the second half of 2014.
“We are very proud to have taken a first step in the Hungarian market, becoming the provider for the FTC Stadium and equipping this wonderful new arena," said Dirk Broichhausen, Managing Director of GoalControl GmbH, which is currently also in talks with the Budapest first division club Ferencváros (currently coached by the German Thomas Doll).
The FIFA licensed system from GoalControl completely convinced the client – Emil Gangoly from Vilati AG: “We deliberately chose GoalControl-4D because it was important to us to have an innovative system provider for our prestigious project. GoalControl has been chosen by FIFA as the systems solution for the 2014 World Cup. This decision was the main reason for us. We have also got to know GoalControl over the last few months and found them to be very competent dialog partners for the project management. Mutual trust is very important to us."
