1. FIFA Club World Cup 2013 + 2014 in Morocco

The 2013 FIFA Club World Cup was the tenth edition of this international soccer competition for clubs and took place in Morocco for the first time from December 11-21. The winners were Bayern Munich.


2. 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil

The 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup was the seventh edition of this intercontinental soccer competition for national teams under this name and organized by FIFA. It was the ninth competition of this kind and took place in Brazil from June 15-30. As was the case for the first time in 2001, for the host the competition was a dress rehearsal for the 2014 World Cup that was to take place there one year later.

4. Ligue 1 in France

Ligue 1 is the top division in French men’s soccer; from 1932 to 2002 it was called Division 1 or Première Division (D1). It was a professional league from the very beginning. There have been French championships since 1894, but winning the championship (Championnat de France) only became an official title in 1932.


5. Coupe de la Ligue in France

The Coupe de la Ligue is a French cup competition, in which only men’s teams with professional status that season can participate; this currently (2016/17) includes the 40 teams from Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, and three clubs from the National division (D3). It is therefore only the third most important title in French soccer behind the national championship and national cup (“Coupe de France”).


6. Taça da Liga in Portugal

The Taça da Liga (English: league cup), officially the bwin Cup, is a competition organized by the Portuguese League for professional soccer which began in the 2007/08 season. At a meeting of all professional Portuguese soccer clubs on November 28, 2006 in Porto, a format was agreed whereby all 32 clubs in the Portuguese first and second divisions are eligible to participate.

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association, in short FIFA or Fifa, is a private association which “governs association football in all its forms”.

8. FFF France

The Fédération Française de Football is the French national soccer association. Its headquarters are in the 15th arrondissement of Paris on Boulevard de Grenelle. The association was founded on April 7, 1919 as the Fédération Française de Football Association; the word ‘Association’ was dropped in 1940.

GLT has been implemented in Ligue 1 in close collaboration with the French Federation and League.


9. FPF Portugal

The Federação Portuguesa de Futebol is the governing body of Portuguese soccer clubs. It was founded in 1914 with its head office in Lisbon. The FPF joined FIFA in 1923 and UEFA in 1954.

In addition to the Portuguese League, the association was also involved in implementing goal-line technology for the Final Four.


10. CBF Brazil

The Confederação Brasileira de Futebol is the national soccer association in Brazil. The association’s headquarters are in Barra da Tijuca, a western suburb of Rio de Janeiro. Rogério Caboclo has been the President since April 9, 2019.

As the governing body, implementation was coordinated with the Brazilian association during the Confederations Cup and World Cup.


11. FRMF Marocco

The Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football is the Moroccan Soccer Association. The association was founded in 1955 and joined the word governing body FIFA in 1960. It organizes the national soccer league in Morocco and is responsible for the Moroccan national soccer team.

As the governing body, the Moroccan association was involved in the implementation of goal-line technology for the Club World Cup.


12. Liga Portugal

The Primeira Liga is the top division in Portuguese men’s soccer. It has existed since the 1934/35 season and is organized by the Liga Portuguesa de Futebol Profissional and the Federação Portuguesa de Futebol. Since 2014, the league has officially had the name Liga NOS for sponsorship reasons.

The system has been further developed in cooperation with the league and will soon be used within the league


13. NBA

The National Basketball Association has been the professional basketball league in North America since 1946. It is by far the strongest and most popular basketball league in the world. The NBA is currently composed of 30 teams, 29 in the United States and one from Canada.

As a research project, a ball tracking system was developed which locates the ball during the game and thus contributes to the optimization of statistics.
